The winner of last week’s Spooky Walk challenge is Sarah O’Sullivan. Sarah’s favourite spooky walk was Carmichael Estate near Biggar, South Lanarkshire. Sarah told us that “It is a beautiful but spooky walk around an old Estate, including Eastend House, set in beautiful and remote South Lanarkshire countryside…it’s quite austere and spooky… It looks like people have just left the house one day and not come back!”

Our two runners up are Ann McDonald with her walk past the Nun’s Walk and old Cathedral in St Andrews, and Sian Brandie with her walk around Aberlour. Both runners up receive a copy of the Wild Guide Scotland.

Although it’s Autumn, there’s still plenty of opportunity to get out and about. If you’re looking for somewhere new to explore this week, have a look at our interactive Spooky Walks map. There’s stories, photos, and links to further information too. Don’t forget to record your steps whilst on your spooky adventures!
