This year’s spring Step Count Champion was Cheryl from Piramal Pharma Solutions. Cheryl was nominated by two of her colleagues, who said that “she has kept the whole site up to date of how the teams are doing on a regular basis – her sense of good fun, wit and competition has been great.” We got in touch with Cheryl to find out more about what walking means to her.

“Walking for me is not just a great physical exercise but gives me the chance for a bit of mental exercise too. I’ve found nothing helps more when I feel stressed with a thousand things on my mind, I just get my trainers on, call the dog and get out there! Within 5000 steps I’m out of the town and can find amazing scenic walkways on canals and woodland. It takes a car ride first, but my favourite walk is on the hills and by the banks of Loch Venachar, with my energetic black Labrador retriever Marley. I hope to keep challenging myself to increase my steps and get ready for the next ‘Step Count Challenge’”
