Walk the Walk is a grant-making breast cancer charity, which organises walking events, including The MoonWalk Scotland, now in its 12th year. This unique, fun event sees thousands of women and men wearing brightly decorated bras walk through the streets of Edinburgh at Midnight, raising money to improve the lives of people with cancer in Scotland. The MoonWalk takes place this year on Saturday 10th June 2017, setting off once again from Edinburgh’s scenic Holyrood Park, and snaking past some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat, Calton Hill and St Giles Cathedral.
Walk the Walk and walking
The World Cancer Research Fund says that 38% of breast cancers could be prevented through improved physical activity, diet and keeping a controlled body weight.
